Hearts & Wings

A Bridge of Hearts
This is a gentle challenge, filled with love and possibility. We are all artists, crafting the cosmic into the tangible--books, paintings, music, sculpture and more. An opportunity is coming (by January)... to begin to craft a new reality in association with others across oceans. A group of artists and others is forming with the intention of building a bridge, a bridge of art, constructed out of the best material the earth has to offer: the human heart.
So stay tuned. (for those who know me, there is no escape, so might as well come along for the ride).

Growing Wings
Take off your shirt or blouse (in private, please) ... and feel where you used to have wings. Those bumps are a reminder that we humans have the capacity for angelic behavior. Not dancing on clouds or playing the harp, but a true spreading of these invisible wings, by reaching out with your best art, your best person.
I will make only one promise for your participation in this quixotic endeavor: You will discover a new smile, one that starts from your toes and eventually shines out of your eyes.
And the best part of it will come when you realize those wings were there the whole time. I bet my life on it.

Across the Earth
They are telling us what they need and want. Are you listening? Next time you drive to work, go to the store, walk around the block, or kneel in church, keep your ears open as wide as your eyes. Children have chandeliers for eyes, there is so much light pouring from the eyes of a child, filled with a kind of cosmic morse code that anyone can decipher--if only they will listen. Any artist who has stopped listening to children has stopped--period. Just because adults buy the art, doesn't mean it is for them. If you don't believe me, consider the masters, who may or may not have been honored in their own time. Their reputation for "mastery" normally is cemented after they are dead, sometimes generations later. That means their art... was ultimately for the young, the unborn... all those who came after... starting as children.
